Core House Options Project, Emergency Recovery Victoria

Emergency Recovery Victoria identified a critical gap in assisting residents affected by emergency events, particularly those lacking financial resources, insurance, and viable alternatives for rebuilding their homes. In response, ERV launched the Core House Options Project (CHOP) to bridge the divide between temporary shelter and permanent housing.

Sensum collaborated with ERV and undertook comprehensive desktop research to identify existing solutions in the market and assess their compatibility with CHOP objectives. Subsequently, an industry survey was conducted, followed by one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders and industry experts. We prepared a report which serves as a comprehensive documentation of collaborative efforts, insights, and outcomes, providing a strategic roadmap for the successful implementation of the Core House Options Project and facilitating the crucial steps for ERV to provide support and stability for disaster-impacted residents.
